Etihad Cargo steps up European links
Etihad Cargo, the freight division of Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, has launched three new dedicated freighter services from Europe.
It is now operating Boeing 777Fs from the UK’s East Midlands and London Stansted airports, as well as from Copenhagen, Denmark.
Etihad’s cargo operations have expanded in recent years as those of many other airlines have declined.
“We have responded to our customers’ demand for freighter capacity out of Europe, and our freighter fleet gives us the flexibility of deploying capacity when and where it is required,” Etihad Cargo SVP David Kerr said.
“Manufacturers in the UK and Denmark can now get their merchandise to their customers in the Middle East even faster, in as little as 24 hours in some cases.”
